1 - Navigate to Google admin

First step is to visit Google Admin > Chrome browser > Apps & Extensions

You can optionally deploy this to a specific Org unit only by selecting it from the list on the left.

2 - Add the Chrome Extension:

In the bottom right you should see an option to ‘Add Chrome app or Extension by ID’. Click this and a modal should appear.

3 - Fill in with the Ploy extension manifest:

Extension ID: dffeldhekjdfdiodpemkejanlcjljbah
URL: (Select from a custom URL in the dropdown): https://ploy-chrome-extension.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/extension/update-manifest.xml

Then hit ‘Save’

4 - Configure Extension:

The final step is to select the extension we just added from the list:

dffeldhekjdfdiodpemkejanlcjljbah

Then firstly, you need to select Force install + Pin to get the extension auto-installed across all users in the selected Org Unit/Company. Optionally select ‘Extension is mandatroy for Incognito’. At the time of writing this article, it' isn’t actually enforced by Chrome, but once it is, it will be forced across incognito as well.

Then scroll down on the right and click add the policy below, replacing YOUR SUBDOMAIN with your Ploy subdomain. This can be found in Ploy by signing into Ploy, click the your org in the bottom left corner, clicking employee portal in the list and then getting the subdomain from the URL that opens.

{"subdomain": {"Value": "YOUR SUBDOMAIN"}}

Note: if you’re using “Island browser” change the above to be: {"subdomain": "YOUR SUBDOMAIN"} (omit the Value key)

Lastly, scroll to the bottom and change ‘Update Url’ to be `installation URL’ and then hit Save in the top right hand corner.
