Luna

Artifacts

Artifacts are AI-generated deliverables that Luna creates during conversations and background investigations. They include reports, summaries, analyses, investigations, and engagement records—anything Luna produces that you might want to reference later.

Every time Luna generates a substantive output (like an access review report or a compliance summary), it's saved as an artifact. This lets you revisit Luna's work, track what the AI has discovered, and share findings with your team.

Where to find artifacts

Artifacts appear in multiple places across Ploy:

  • Luna — Click the Artifacts tab to see all artifacts Luna has created for your organization. Use the sub-tabs (All, Report, Engagement) to filter by type.

  • Member profiles — View artifacts related to a specific person, like onboarding reports or access investigations.

  • Resource pages — See artifacts tied to a particular app or system, such as usage analyses or permission audits.

  • Luna chat sessions — Artifacts generated during a conversation link back to that session for full context.

Bookmark a filtered view by copying the URL—the sub-tabs on the Artifacts page update the URL so you can return to Reports or Engagements directly.

Artifact types

Luna creates several types of artifacts depending on the task:

  • Reports — Structured findings from Luna's analysis, often with data tables and recommendations.

  • Summaries — Condensed overviews of complex information, like user access patterns or system changes.

  • Analyses — Deep dives into specific questions, such as privilege creep or Shadow IT risks.

  • Investigations — Background research Luna conducts asynchronously when you ask open-ended questions.

  • Engagements — Records of Luna reaching out to users (for approvals, self-service requests, or follow-ups).

Using the Artifacts view

The Artifacts page displays square cards showing each artifact's type, title, and creation date. Click any card to open a drawer with the full content and a link to the original chat session.

Filter by type: Use the All, Report, or Engagement tabs to narrow the list. Reports include summaries and analyses; Engagements cover investigations and user interactions.

Navigate from linked resources: When viewing a member or resource, switch to the Artifacts tab to see only artifacts associated with that entity. This scopes the view automatically—no manual filtering needed.

Return to context: Every artifact links back to its source session. Click "Go to chat" in the artifact drawer to see the full conversation that generated it.

Artifacts are versioned—Luna updates existing artifacts if you ask follow-up questions. You'll always see the latest version, with older versions available in the artifact history.
