ADP Workforce Now
Follow the steps below to connect your ADP Workforce Now environment to Ploy. Connecting ADP lets Ploy sync your employee directory so your people data in Ploy stays accurate and up to date.
Setup for this integration is assisted by Ploy support. We recommend reaching out to Ploy support before you begin so we can walk you through the process and ensure a smooth connection.
This integration has never been tested against a real ADP environment because no free ADP sandbox exists.
Prerequisites
Your organisation must have ADP API Central enabled for ADP Workforce Now.
An ADP admin is needed to create the API project and generate the credentials.
Have the following ready before connecting in Ploy: Client ID, Client Secret, SSL certificate, and private key.
Step 1: Create an ADP API Central project
An ADP admin should complete these steps in ADP API Central:
Log in to ADP API Central and create a new project.
Select the Employee Demographic Data (Read) use case.
Generate a client certificate and download the credentials. This gives you the Client ID, Client Secret, SSL certificate, and private key.
Step 2: Connect in Ploy
Navigate to Ploy's integration page in your Ploy account: https://app.joinploy.com/integrations
Select the ADP widget and click +Add.
Enter the Client ID from your ADP API Central project credentials.
Enter the Client Secret from your ADP API Central project credentials.
In SSL Certificate (PEM), paste the full SSL certificate including -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- and -----END CERTIFICATE----- lines.
In Private Key (PEM), paste the full private key including -----BEGIN PRIVATE KEY----- and -----END PRIVATE KEY----- lines.
Click Test to verify the connection.
Once the test succeeds, click Save.
Troubleshooting
If the connection test fails, double-check that the Client ID and Client Secret were copied exactly from your ADP API Central project, and that the certificate and private key were pasted in full, including their BEGIN and END lines.
