Cezanne

Use the Cezanne HR integration to sync your employee directory into Ploy. Ploy reads your employee records from Cezanne so you can use them for identity and access workflows, onboarding and offboarding, and as an HR source of truth.

What Ploy syncs

Ploy performs read-only syncs of your Cezanne employee records, including both active and former employees:

  • Name, work email and (optionally) personal email

  • Job title, department, team and location

  • Hire date and termination date

  • Manager relationships

  • Employment type and employee ID

Ploy never writes anything back to Cezanne.

Step 1: Generate API credentials in Cezanne HR

  1. In Cezanne HR, go to Administration, then Security Settings, then Authorised Applications.

  2. Click Add New and enter a Name (for example, Ploy) and a Description.

  3. You can leave Allowed Callbacks blank — Ploy does not need a redirect URI.

  4. Click Save. Cezanne shows your Client ID and Client Secret. Copy the Client Secret immediately — it is only shown while this screen is open.

  5. Open the Application Scopes tab and enable API read access. Ploy only reads data, so write access is not required.

  6. Click Save to finish.

If you cannot see the Authorised Applications screen, ask your Cezanne HR administrator or Cezanne HR support to generate the credentials for you.

Step 2: Connect Cezanne in Ploy

  1. In Ploy, go to Integrations, find Cezanne and start the setup wizard.

  2. Paste your Client ID — the Client ID from Step 1.

  3. Paste your Private Key — this is the Client Secret Cezanne showed you in Step 1.

  4. Choose Yes or No for Do you want Ploy to store employee's personal emails:

    Yes: Ploy stores each employee's personal email alongside their work email. If an employee has no work email in Cezanne, Ploy uses their personal email as their primary email instead. This is useful if you onboard new joiners with passcodes before their company email exists.

    No: Ploy only stores work emails. Employees without a work email in Cezanne are not imported.

  5. Save the integration. Ploy will start syncing your employees shortly afterwards.
