Attio
Connect Attio to Ploy to bring your Attio workspace members into Ploy as identities, and to track who has access to Attio and at what level. Ploy scans your Attio workspace every hour, so suspensions and role changes in Attio are reflected in Ploy automatically.
What Ploy syncs
Workspace members — every member of your Attio workspace becomes an identity in Ploy, with their name, email address, role and the date they were added. Suspended members are kept as inactive (blocked) identities, so you keep a record of who previously had access.
Attio app access — Ploy records who currently has access to Attio. Attio suspends members rather than deleting them, so when a member is suspended in Attio, Ploy revokes their Attio access on the next scan.
Roles — each member's Attio role (admin or member) is synced as both their access level and an entitlement, so you can see and review exactly who your Attio admins are. When someone's role changes, the old role is archived on the next scan.
Attio's API does not expose MFA status, last-login or activity data, or any groups or teams, so Ploy does not sync those for Attio.
Before you begin
You need an Attio user who can create integrations in your workspace's settings (typically a workspace admin).
Ploy authenticates with an Attio access token. The token only needs read access to your workspace members — the "View workspace members" (user_management:read) scope. Ploy makes no changes in Attio.
Create an Attio access token
Log in to Attio.
Open your Workspace Settings.
Go to the Developers section and create a new integration — you could name it "Ploy".
Give the integration the "View workspace members" (user_management:read) scope.
Copy the integration's access token. You'll paste this into Ploy in the next step.
Connect Attio to Ploy
In Ploy, go to the Integrations page, find Attio and start the setup. The setup page also links to Attio's developer docs if you still need to create your token.
Under "Enter your Attio access token", paste the access token you copied from Attio.
Continue. Ploy immediately makes a test call to Attio with your token to confirm the connection works.
Once connected, the first scan starts automatically and your workspace members appear in Ploy shortly afterwards. Ploy then rescans every hour.
What Ploy can change in Attio
Nothing — this integration is read-only. Ploy detects and reports on your Attio workspace members, their roles and their access, but it does not create, suspend or remove Attio members and does not change anyone's role.
Troubleshooting
"We couldn't reach Attio with that access token. Check the token and try again."
Ploy's test call to Attio didn't succeed. Check that you pasted the complete access token with no extra spaces, then try again.
"Attio rejected that access token. Generate a new one and paste it again."
Attio returned an authentication error for the token you entered. Create a fresh access token in Attio (Workspace Settings, then Developers) with the "View workspace members" scope, and connect again with the new token.
"Attio reports this access token is no longer active"
The token was recognised by Attio but is no longer active — for example because the integration it belongs to was deactivated or deleted in Attio. Generate a new access token in Attio and update the connection in Ploy.
