Lucidchart
Connect Lucid (Lucidchart, Lucidspark and Lucidscale) to Ploy to see everyone on your Lucid account, their admin roles, whether they are enabled, and which teams they belong to. Ploy can also create users, suspend and delete them, and add people to or remove them from teams.
This integration is in beta
The Lucid integration is in beta. It was built from Lucid's published API documentation and has not yet been run against a live Lucid account, so some details may behave differently from what is described here.
The first step of setup asks you to agree to beta terms. While the integration is in beta, when Lucid returns an error to Ploy, Ploy keeps a redacted copy of that error so we can fix problems quickly. Names, email addresses, tokens and other personal or secret values are removed before anything is stored.
What Ploy reads and does
Users: every user on your Lucid account, with their email address, name and any admin roles. Users disabled in Lucid show as blocked and lose their access in Ploy.
Your Lucid account: shown as a resource so you can tell several Lucid accounts apart.
Teams: every team the API key can see, and who belongs to each one. Hidden teams are only visible if the key's owner is a member of them.
Create users: creates a Lucid user from an email address, first name and last name. Lucid only allows this on Enterprise accounts.
Suspend and delete users: needs Lucid Enterprise and the optional SCIM token. Suspending deactivates the user. Deleting is permanent, and Lucid refuses to delete the account owner. To reactivate someone, do it in Lucid.
Team membership: add people to a team with a team role, or remove them, from the team's page in Ploy. Teams managed through SCIM have to be changed in your identity provider instead.
Ploy does not read folders, documents, product licences or the audit log.
Before you start
You need a Lucid account admin login. We recommend a dedicated admin account rather than a person's own login, because an API key acts as the user who created it.
Step 1: Create a Lucid API key
Sign in to Lucid as an account admin.
Open the developer settings and create a new API key.
Give the key these grants: AccountAdmin, AccountReadonly and TeamsReadonly.
To create users from Ploy, also add AccountEdit. To add people to and remove them from teams, also add TeamsEdit.
Copy the key.
Step 2 (optional): Generate a SCIM token
Only needed if you want to suspend or delete Lucid users from Ploy, and only available on Lucid Enterprise.
In the Lucid admin panel, open the SCIM for admin management page.
Generate a token and copy it.
Use the admin management token, not the content access one. FedRAMP accounts cannot suspend or delete users from Ploy.
Step 3: Connect Lucid in Ploy
In Ploy, go to Integrations and choose Lucidchart.
Tick the beta consent checkbox.
Choose where your Lucid account lives: Lucid (lucid.app) for most teams, or Lucid FedRAMP (lucidgov.app) if you sign in at lucidgov.app.
Paste the API key, and the SCIM token if you created one.
Select Test. Ploy checks it can read your account's users.
The first scan runs straight away and then every six hours.
Troubleshooting
Lucid rejected that API key: the key was not copied in full or has been deleted. Create a new one.
That API key cannot list the account's users: the key needs the AccountAdmin grant and must belong to an account admin.
Lucid could not find the users list: check the region matches where your account lives.
Suspending or deleting fails asking for a SCIM token: add the token from the SCIM for admin management page to the integration's setup.
