Onfido
Ploy reads the people who can sign in to your Onfido dashboard, their role, and the child accounts each of them can switch into. It can also invite, change the role of, deactivate, reactivate and delete dashboard users, and grant or remove a user's access to a child account. Ploy never reads applicants or verification data.
This integration is in beta
When you connect Onfido, the first step asks you to agree that Ploy may capture redacted error data. That means the error responses Onfido sends back, with secrets and personal information removed. We capture them only because you agreed, and only to help us debug the integration.
Before you start
You need to be an Onfido Owner, Admin or Developer to create an OAuth application.
1. Create an OAuth application in Onfido
In the Onfido dashboard, open Developers, then API authentication.
Create a new OAuth application.
Grant it the dashboard_users:read scope, so Ploy can see your dashboard users.
Grant it the dashboard_users:write scope, so Ploy can invite users and change their role, status and child accounts.
Grant it the dashboard_users:delete scope, so Ploy can delete users.
Copy the client ID and client secret.
2. Connect in Ploy
In Ploy, add the Onfido integration.
Tick the beta consent box.
Choose your region: Europe, United States or Canada. It matches the start of your API host, for example api.eu.onfido.com.
Paste the client ID and client secret, then test the connection.
What you will see
Every dashboard user, with their Onfido role as an entitlement.
Deactivated users lose their access in Ploy straight away.
Each child account as an account in Ploy, labelled by its Onfido ID, because Onfido does not share child account names.
